Cuisine nouvelle is a contemporary French food cooking style that mainly uses fresh ingredients instead of rich sauces. The French add chives, rosemary, sage, marjoram, parsley, thyme and bay leaf to bring out the flavors in their food. Shallots, scallions and garlic enhance the taste of French food. Wine is often used to make the flavor in food stand out. Breads such as Ficelle and Baguette are a big part of French meals.
